Responsive web design (based on Bootstrap), front-end development and graphic design for BIRN (Balkan Investigative Reporting Network) Macedonia and USAID Macedonia, for the Public Procurement Of Municipalities In 2015 (“Јавни набавки на општините во 2015“) interactive database.
The database provides access to publicly available information about the public spendings of the municipalities in the Republic of Macedonia during 2015.
The central part of the landing page is presented by an interactive map (powered by Leaflet.js) which provides quick and easy access to municipality profile pages. A large Sankey diagram (powered by Google Charts) uncovers the relations between municipalities and private companies in Macedonia.
Several pie charts (powered bu Google Charts) uncover which municipalities have spent the most, which private companies have signed the largest number of procurement agreements and so on. Many, so called Quick Facts, uncover summed spending amounts based on different criteria.
